Sigma Construction was established in 1992 as a family business. It was founded by the current Managing Director MR NAPO MAKARA who has worked hard to put the level of the Company to where it is today. It is correct to say the Company has grown from being small to where it is now the pride of the nation for being wholly run and owned by Basotho.
The company has established itself as a reputable and reliable establishment to clients, financial institutions and suppliers as a whole.
The Company has also earned respect of other major R.S.A Companies through Joint Ventures for work done for the clients such as LHDA. We formed strategic Joint Ventures with Group 5 and LTA. It was through such Joint Ventures that our staff got exposure and experience in all aspects of Constructions from Contracts Management, Project Management and Skills transfer.
The Company has permanent staff of 190 including professionals, technical, skilled, semiskilled and general workers. We have adequate plant resources to handle contracts up to M450 million at once. The plant includes Mobile Karoo Concrete Mixer, and assortment of 400 litres mixers including Whiteman Concrete Pump. We also have Peri system of scaffolding which can cover 3000 m2 at once.
